Welcome!

To libtics.org — a CC BY-NC 4.0 licensed resource for learning, sharing, and discussing library analytics.

As of mid-2022, this site is not actively maintained. The author has a full-time job as a technical writer. The situation may change if there is sufficient interest, but it seems unlikely.

What is here?

  • Ex Libris Analytics — A comprehensive, introductory, course/book/set of training materials for Ex Libris Analytics using the Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Oracle Data Visualization (ODV). It is accompanied by a set of video tutorials, linked to in the text.

libtics.org, itself, should not be setting any cookies. Many pages have embedded YouTube videos and these will set a couple of cookies. If you notice any others, please let me know.

Navigation

Navigation is straightforward. The screen shot below is for the, as yet, unfinished data extract section from Ex Libtis Analytics. Choosen as all the navigation bits can appear in one small screenshot.

1. You will not see these component or page version selector menus at the moment. Firstly, they are affecting the usefulness of the search box results. So, I need to do some investigation into that. Also, I’m not sure they are useful here, at least for Ex Libris analytics. There is only one current version that can be used so there is little to be gained from looking at past versions. If you really need to then they are still available in the source repository.
